Bangla Tigers has appointed former international cricketer Stuart law, Shaun Tait and Paul Nixon as the Head Coach, Bowling Coach and Batting & Fielding coach accordingly for the upcoming season of the Abu Dhabi T10 Cricket League 2021-22 held in November 2021 as per tentative schedule.

After signing the contract, the newly appointed head coach Mr Stuart Law said –“I wanted to be involved in franchise tournaments in the subcontinent learning from some great players and working with some great players, so I am really looking forward to it”.

Bangla Tigers management is delighted to have Stuart Law for the upcoming season, Franchisee Owner Mohammad Yasin Chowdhury said, “Staurt law is a dynamic, dedicated, passionate and motivational coach, who will lead the cricketers with the fighting spirit and be able to maintain a positive approach in the dressing room even at the crucial stage of the game. As far I remember, after the deprivation of not qualifying to the next round in World Cup 2011 as the host, BCB appointed him and he slums all disappointment from dressing room within a very short span of time and makes the new cricket history of Bangladesh Cricket by qualifying Asia cup final for the first time though eventually lost to Pakistan in the final by a mere 2-run! Beyond winning or losing, we want to play great cricket just like that, so we need him. Stuart is the real game changer and perfect coach for the race to the championship.”

Team coordinator Mr. Zaffir Yasin Chowdhury said, a champion coach is required to win the championship title and we believe that Stuart Law is the champion coach; we hope Bangla Tigers will make history under his coaching.

Stuart Grant Law was a prolific run scorer on the Australian domestic front, but his entry into cricket was marked by an era that had the best quality batsmen from Australia. Stuart Law played 54 ODI including 1996 world cup as middle order batsman and scored 1237 runs with batting average of 26.89 and also took 12 wickets with a bowling average of 52.91 as occasional right-arm leg spinner.

Moreover Australian Legendary fast bowler Shaun Tait has started his new innings as the Bowling Coach of Bangla Tigers for the upcoming season. After signing the contract he said “I am very excited, I’ve not been involved with T10 competition before, so it’s new for me; it’s a great privilege to be involved with Bangla tigers as a bowling coach”- after signing the contract with Bangla Tigers”.

Shaun Tait, nicknamed as “The Wild Thing” for summoning quick spells with his slingy action, is considered as one of the fastest bowlers of all time with regular average bowling speed 155+ kmph. He unleashed a ball against England at Lord’s that registered at 161.1kph, the second-fastest of all-time.

Tait was the strike bowler to Australia cricket team’s triumph in 2007 ODI World Cup in West Indies and became the tournament’s joint-second highest wicket-taker, alongside Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan with 23 wickets. He Played 3 test matches, 35 ODI and 21 T20 international matches in his career.

Bangla Tigers also appointed cricket coach and former English international cricketer Paul Andrew Nixon as the new batting and fielding coach. Nixon, twice the winning coach with Jamaica Tallawahs in the Caribbean Premier League, enjoyed a successful career both as a player and coach.  He was an integral part of England’s world cup mission 2007 and concluded the tournament with an average of 38.6, having scored 193 runs along with 9 dismissals.

Paul Nixon is one of a crop of wicket-keeping batsmen who came along at the wrong time for an international career. His path into the England team was blocked by Jack Russell and especially Alec Stewart as the team tried to find an all-rounder.

Bangla tigers were ranked as 3rd in its very 1st season 2019 (3rd Season of the tournament) and 5th in its 2nd Season 2020-21 though some big wigs have not been able to join with Bangla Tigers in the last season due to Covid-19 pandemic. Bangla Tigers are optimistic to win the title of the upcoming season.

Abu Dhabi T10 league is the first ever and only ICC approved ten-over cricket league organized by “T10 Sports Management” held in Abu Dhabi. By the direct patronization of Abu Dhabi Govt. ADT10 is already the most pompous event and now the tournament has become the third most-watched league in the world with a global audience of over 400 million. As per the tentative schedule, no tournament will be scheduled parallelly during the period of ADT10 league carried out; consequently the authority expects that, the upcoming season will be more exuberant with the presence of existing master class international cricketers and coaching staff.
