Stuart Law – Head Coach of Bangla Tigers for Season – 5

Former international cricketer Stuart Law is appointed as the head coach of Bangla Tigers for the upcoming season of Abu Dhabi T10 Cricket League 2021-22 held in November 2021 as per tentative schedule. He is replaced by the former coach Thilina Umesh Kandamby.

After signing the contract, team coordinator Mr. Zaffir Yasin Chowdhury said, a champion coach is required to win the championship title and we believe that, Stuart Law is the champion coach; we hope Bangla Tigers will make history under his coaching.

Stuart Law was appointed as the head coach of Bangladesh national side when Trevor Bayliss left shortly after the World Cup 2011. He coached Bangladesh during the 2011-2012 season and under his guidance, Bangladesh played their first-ever Asia Cup final in 2012 but eventually lost to Pakistan by a mere 2-run. Stuart Law then resigned from the post for a personal reason.

On 27th January 2017, Stuart Law was appointed as the head coach of West Indies Cricket team on a two-year contract, starting on 15 February 2018. Law was also appointed as Sri Lanka’s assistant coach in October 2009.

Stuart Grant Law was a prolific run scorer on the Australian domestic front, but his entry into cricket was marked by an era that had the best quality batsmen from Australia. In 1995/96 he played his only Test match as the replacement of the injured Steve Waugh, scoring unbeaten 54 and subsequently being dropped upon Waugh’s recovery. Stuart Law played 54 ODI including 1996 world cup as middle order batsman and scored 1237 runs with batting average of 26.89 and also took 12 wickets with a bowling average of 52.91 as occasional right-arm leg spinner.

Bangla tigers were ranked as 3rd in its very 1st season 2019 (3rd Season of the tournament) and 5th in its 2nd Season 2020-21 though some big wigs have not been able to join with Bangla Tigers in the last season due to Covid-19 pandemic.
