Bangla Tigers has roped in former England coach Paul Farbrace as their head coach for the upcoming season of T10 League scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi, team owner confirmed The Daily Sun on Friday.
“We have signed him (Paul) for the upcoming edition of T10 in Abu Dhabi and he will be available for the whole edition of the tournament,” Bangla Tigers owner Yasin Chowdhury told The Daily Sun on Friday.
The Tigers finished third in the competition last season with Aftab Ahmed as coach.
Team director Lance Klusener retained the post while Sriram (performance analyst of Delhi Capitals) will act as team manager replacing Nafees Iqbal.
Trevor (Penny) was expected to join as assistant coach but he won’t be able to manage time as he will be in Bangladesh with the West Indian side while the other members of the team management like trainer and physio are picked from Abu Dhabi due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
Farbrace, who is currently Warwickshire’s sporting director, was signed by the franchise and confirmed his interest in the role.
The T10 League will start from January 28 and run till February 6 in Abu Dhabi.
